HIGHLIGHTS

Teaching

MILA system for teaching undergraduates in small groups has proven to be very effective. MILA is a 20-minute lecture followed by a 20-minute activity session. This activity session encourages the student to grasp the concept and gain a better understanding of the subject. The initiative keeps the students engaged throughout the class and boosts their confidence. Faculties use mind-maps and concept maps to teach the basic concepts in understanding the pathogenesis of human diseases and their correlation with oral diseases.

RESEARCH

The department initiates research attitude among undergraduate students at an early stage during their course curriculum by making them do short research studies. Every year more than 80 study projects is completed focusing on the basics up to translational research.
