An experiment on Spaced Repetition

On 29 April 2023, the Department of Pathology presented an experiment on teaching methodology in EDIFY. The Dr. Monal welcomed The Director Dr. Deepak Nallaswamy, Dean Dr. Arvind Kumar, and Registrar Dr. Sheeja Varghese along with all the faculties in the college. The Pathology department tested spaced learning strategies to see how they affected students' overall understanding and scoring after intervention in the form of repeated spaced revision. The study was conducted on a group of students who had never seen the topic before. Topics were revised at predetermined intervals (Day 0, Day 1, Day 7, and Day 14 for the experimental group and Day 0, Day 7, Day 14 for the control group). It was discovered that the experimental group outperformed the control group. This experiment demonstrates the potential for spaced learning to improve knowledge learning in the dental industry.
